TC Summit 2026: 10 Empowering Programs - Amanda Fisher

True Charity's Amanda Fisher walks Summit attendees through ten field-tested program models that move ministries beyond the handout and into real, dignity-affirming change. In just a few fast-paced minutes per model, she unpacks Earn-It Projects, Food Co-ops, Christmas Markets, Mentorship Programs, Self-Reliance Clubs, Award for Performance, Work Shuttles, Childcare Co-ops, Discounted Provider Networks, and Charitable Loans — pulling real examples from churches and nonprofits already running them in their own communities. Along the way, she unpacks why "teaching a man to fish" is harder than it sounds, why most charity programs get stuck with relief and development inverted 90:10, and what changes when a ministry flips that ratio. Whether you're building a new program from scratch or looking to give an existing one a tune-up, this session is a rapid-fire tour of what empowering, effective charity actually looks like in practice.
