Most Victorians understand that land tax usually applies to properties like holiday houses, investment properties, or commercial spaces. And, thankfully, our primary place of residence – our home – has generally been exempt. However, from 2024, the general land tax threshold in Victoria plummeted from $300,000 down to just $50,000 and will now catch out many home-based businesses.
