Born June 1, 1926, in Mount Airy, North Carolina – the real-life inspiration for our beloved fictional town. Even though Andy left us in 2012, his spirit, wisdom, and that warm Southern drawl live on in every rerun, every laugh, and every lesson from Sheriff Andy Taylor. Grab a seat on the bench by the courthouse – this one's gonna be a good 'un. Andy Griffith showed us that decency, humor, and common sense can win the day. In a world that sometimes feels complicated, Mayberry reminds us of what's important: family, friends, fishing, and doing right by your neighbors. Happy 100th Birthday, Andy! Thanks for the memories.
