TCU Basketball Loses Star Forward to Transfer Portal

TCU Mens Basketball Loses Key Player: David Punch Transfers to Transfer Portal David Punch, TCUs sophomore forward, has announced his departure from the team, leaving a significant void in the frontcourt. Punch, who earned All-Big Twelve honorable mention in the 2025-2026 season, was a crucial player for the Horned Frogs, leading them in scoring and rebounds. He played in all 66 games, averaging 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. Punch, a top-100 recruit, turned down offers from Virginia, Xavier, and NC State to join TCU. His transfer to the transfer portal has opened the door for power programs to recruit him, making TCUs rebuild even more challenging.
