TCU Lands Bamgboye from Texas Tech

TCU Boosts Frontcourt with Texas Tech Transfer Luke Bamgboye The Horned Frogs secure a significant addition to their roster with the transfer of six-foot-eleven forward Luke Bamgboye from Texas Tech. This sophomore commitment marks TCUs third Division I transfer this offseason, bolstering their frontcourt for the 2026-27 season. Bamgboye, originally from London, played as a freshman at VCU, appearing in 35 games with 24 starts. He then transferred to Texas Tech, where he played 21 games, starting 12, and averaging 4.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. Bamgboye earned Atlantic Ten All-Defensive and All-Rookie honors as a rookie and helped Texas Tech reach the NCAA second round last year. TCU, meanwhile, mirrored that run, reaching the second round themselves. Theyve also added Gavin Sykes from Long Beach State and DJ Thomas from West Virginia to their roster. With Bamgboyes arrival, TCU is building serious depth inside, making it an exciting team to watch as they gel for the next season.
