On April 25th, TCU Horned Frogs just landed a homecoming queen in the transfer game. Camille Williams, a freshman guard from Miami, is heading back to Fort Worth right as the portal slams shut. She's a four-star talent who never saw the floor with the Hurricanes after redshirting her first year. Earlier this week, Williams dropped the news, and it makes total sense.
She balled out at Boswell High right here in Fort Worth, leading them to a state title in 2025 with 16.2 points. Eight rebounds and 4.3 assists a game. District MVP and two-time All-State pick, plus ESPN ranked her 36th in her class. Fans are buzzing because this adds firepower to an already stacked roster.
She's joining transfers like Lars Humphie from Stanford, Jaden Wooten from Oklahoma State, Laney Grant from North Carolina, Avery Shumstad from Utah, and Bella Hines from LSU. All these pieces are pushing TCU toward another deep run, maybe a lead eight, or better after two strong seasons. With four full years of eligibility, Williams brings fresh legs and high school pedigree, though breaking into the rotation won't be easy against that. Talent, her 5'11 frame fits as a guard who can handle the ball and score.
Now the portal's closed, so Coach Mark Campbell turns to summer workouts to gel this deep squad. Expect fierce practices and high-energy ball. Come, November Fort Worth hoops just leveled up.
