On April 10th, TCU Horned Frogs just snagged a big one from the transfer portal. Head coach Mark Campbell added sophomore point guard Jaden Wooten from Oklahoma State. This 5'6 feetster from Overland Park, Kansas, balled out in 63 games over two years as a key reserve for the Cowgirls. She earned Big 12 All-Freshman honors in the 2024-25 season and was the 2024 Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year.
This past year, Wooten dropped 12.8 points, grabbed 5.4 rebounds, and dished 3.4 assists per game while shooting 49% from the floor. That helped Oklahoma State finish 24-10, grabbing fourth in the Big 12. TCU fans are buzzing because the Frogs have been dominant, hitting the Elite Eight the last two seasons with records of 34-4 then, 32-6. Wooten steps in as a prime candidate to fill the shoes of all Big 12, guard Olivia Miles at point guard.
She's one of the top guards available in the portal and joins recent commits like Stanford, forward Laura Zumpai, and North Carolina shooting guard Lanny, Grant. These moves are stacking the deck for TCU's backcourt depth. With talents like Wooten locking in, the Horned Frogs look prime to push even deeper in the tournament next year.
