2012年的新版特警判官，回归了漫画本初设计，全片充满血腥暴力美学，在超级重庆大厦里进行一次极限逃杀，主角自始至终都贯彻着头盔男的基本修养：不摘头盔。名场面包含但不限于：超慢镜头肉体击穿，花式杀人技巧，冷酷宣言，心灵感应超能力。虽然他是英国漫画，但是写的是“新美国”的故事，这是另一种朋克宇宙：硬核朋克。经典版《机械战警》也是参考了这种设定。
