Teacher Pay Penalty Hits Record High

As we face national teacher shortages, attacks on public education from the right, and declining budgets, turns out the teacher pay gap has gotten worse than ever.  Compared to comparably educated professions, teachers earn only 73 cents on the dollar earned by their peers.  This is a shocking decline from the 94 cents on the dollar they earned just 30 years ago.
