Teachers are Under Attack

from 57 Podcast · host Mike Prieto

Podcast 59: Teachers have been under attack. In the past month alone there have been 3 incidents with students getting into physical fights with teachers. I think these are examples of important lesson not being taught at home. I also talk about the teacher strike in Chicago and how even though Chicago has immense tax revenue it mismanages their money and can't pay teachers. Education is lacking in the city of Chicago. Violence is high. I think because the city doesn't put enough into education, teachers don't get the tools they need. They aren't afforded an environment that is conducive to learning, and the kids pay the price. Mayor Lightfoot just started her term but she has a lot of work to do. Thank you for listening.
