Teaching As Soul Work

Welcome to season one of The Inspired Teaching Podcast. We’re Patrick and Julie—your guides on this journey. Walk with us—two lifelong learners, K–12 mentors, and college professors—as we help new educators navigate the challenges of stepping into the classroom. Each episode tackles the real problems teachers face: engaging and connecting with students, managing stress, and building confidence while keeping your passion alive. We put your mindset and wellness above all else so you can teach with clarity, confidence, and compassion—without burning out. Through practical strategies and heartfelt stories, we’ll share what we’re learning (and unlearning) about teaching in today’s world. Whether you’re stepping into the classroom for the first time or looking for fresh inspiration, this is your space to solve real teaching challenges, reflect, and grow alongside others who believe teaching is about more than just delivering content. Please subscribe on Substack for free to never miss an episode! Until next time, happy teaching! Julie and Patrick This is a public episode.
