Teaching for Transformation and Living as a Different People

In this episode of The Bulldog Update, Dr. Jack Farmer returns after a brief health absence to explore 1 Peter 3:8–12 and the call for believers to live differently in a divided world. Through a New Covenant perspective, this episode examines how Christ transforms His people into a community marked by humility, compassion, truthfulness, and peace rather than retaliation and division.   The episode also celebrates recent student and alumni birthdays, recognizes the upcoming Sports Awards Ceremony, and highlights the importance of honoring excellence both on and off the field.   In the Moment of Connection, Dr. Farmer explains what “Teaching for Transformation” truly means at Berean Baptist Academy. Far from lowering academic expectations, TfT pushes students and teachers toward deeper thinking by intentionally connecting rigorous academics with spiritual formation and biblical worldview development. Using a current 10th grade worldview and character analysis project as an example, the episode demonstrates how BBA integrates faith, identity, purpose, and critical thinking into meaningful academic experiences designed to help students glorify God through every area of life.
