Teaching How to Read and Fostering a Love of Reading

from The Inspirational Educators Podcast · host Nancy Mikhail

You have to teach your child how to read...now what? It's funny because as much as it's a skill we use everyday, we have to think about breaking the steps down in order to teach reading and it can totally feel overwhelming.  Then after you teach reading, your child may push back and not want to read. It could feel like pulling teeth to get them to read. You want them to love reading and know it's good for them to practice, but they aren't having it. In this episode, I break down the steps of how to read in detail so you can easily implement and begin teaching reading. I also go over some simple, practical steps to help foster a love of reading.  Enjoyed this episode? Share it with a friend!
