Teaching Kids the Long Game: Work Hard, Be Kind and Have Fun with Kristie Wilder, LMSW

from Never Perfect · host Dr. Beth

In this episode, Beth interviews Social Worker and Professor Kristie Wilder on the topic of parenting. They both share their struggles and strengths as parents and their favorite parenting philosophies. Parenting is the ultimate challenge, whether it’s a full time or a part-time, alongside a career. None of us are perfect parents but we all have different packages of strengths and weaknesses and if we can really tune in to what matters most to us as parents, and what our gifts are, we can use these to love our kids well and raise them to be “kind productive humans”, to use Kristie’s words. Kristie likes to use a “long game” approach to parenting, which involves a daily reminder to her boys, “work hard, be kind, and have fun.”  Listen to this episode and more: neverperfect.org Follow us on instagram @neverperfectpodcast Please rate and review this podcast.
