Tears That Cry

from We Netwurking Poetry

“Tears That Cry” is a raw and deeply personal piece i written from behind the walls of incarceration, where silence can become louder than words. This poem explores the emotions that often remain hidden the pain, loneliness, regret, memories, love, and thoughts that surface when there’s nowhere to run from yourself.Written during a time of confinement, “Tears That Cry” gives a voice to the tears that never made it down my face. The emotions cried silently within. It’s about facing myself, remembering the people and moments that matter, and searching for hope while surrounded by darkness. This is more than a poem i wrote in jail. It’s about being trapped emotionally, mentally, and spiritually and finding a way to let those feelings breathe through spoken word.“Sometimes the tears we cry aren't the ones that fall.”
