from Teatime with Miss Liz · host Elizabeth Jean Olivia Gagnon

Teatime with Miss Liz joined by Analou Vilarde, the CEO and team leader of Vorkforce. A young women driven for success. August 27th 3pm EST a tea of online self made business. She took up Electronics Engineering and Technology Major in Computer in college. She started freelancing even before she graduated from college. She was already doing data entry jobs while studying. She has always been drawn to the idea of earning a decent living while working from home. However, when she graduated from college last 2017, She wanted to widen her horizon and explore the corporate world. She was hired as a technical support representative right away in one of the biggest call centers here in her country. Six months on the job and she was already promoted as a product trainer. However, even though she was already on her way up the corporate ladder, She still feel like she is missing something. So 11 months after she joined the company, She quit her job to pursue her passion --- to start a business of her own. She went back to online freelancing and worked for another 11 months as tech support for a real estate company. She did this while building her own dream company, Vorkforce. The company’s doing good for a startup that she has decided to invest in small side businesses. She has acquired a farm, started a small trucking business, and opened a computer shop. There’s no assurance in online freelancing so it’s wise to have a backup plan. Starting her own company was not an easy decision. Her favourite life verse says in Luke 12:48, “To whom much is given, much will be required.” This is probably the biggest challenge she has encountered in running Vorkforce. She can not think of herself alone. She has to consider everyone’s welfare and growth, as well. The bigger the company gets, the bigger her responsibility is. She started Vorkforce mainly because of two reasons. First, because of practical reasons. She is the breadwinner in the family so she want to maximize her earnings. And second, because of her passion. She feels like she can do more if she work online and start her own company. She did  not only get to work at her own pace but she got to help people, as well. Knowing that you are making a difference in the life of both clients and fellow freelancers is not only financially rewarding. The thought that you are making an impact in their lives brings her joy and fulfillment. But her dream for Vorkforce does not end here. She has ambitious and long-term goals for the company. She dreams of being able to provide a platform for those who wanted to start their own business in the online industry. She dreams of being able to develop coaching courses to help those who wanted to dip their toes in online freelancing, as well.Vorkforce is pretty new. She started the company September 2019. But she is very grateful that amidst the pandemic, the company’s doing very well. It was able to sustain everyone’s needs during these trying times. She was able to earn enough to invest in side businesses and at the same time, sustain my employees’ needs. We are able to build relationships with our clients, too, and that, in her opinion, is a sign that they are on the right track. She has long-term goals for the company. In five to ten years, She see the company providing products to people who need business coaching. They are currently service-based and our reach is limited. She dreams of expanding their  reach by developing either a coaching app or software. The wider our reach, the more people they can help. And yes, this is something that she is currently working on. Her strengths include high-tolerance and good communication skills. She can endure working long hours and still be productive. And most importantly, she can connect with people easily, something that is truly important in this field. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/misslizsteatimes/messageBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/teatime-with-miss-liz--5511005/support.
