She has won numerous awards for her writing—including three Gold Quill Awards and The Writer of the Year from the League of Utah Writers, Indie Excellence Awards, two Mom's Choice Awards, and the Dove Seal of Approval.She grew up in a family with eleven children in Portland, Oregon. Jill and her husband have four grown kids, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
