Technology Across the Globe; The Advice I Would Give My Younger Self

This week in our Tech Careers segment we welcome Mike Fernandez, who is an IT System Engineer for the Austrian Environmental Agency. With more than 10 years of experience in IT Operations, he now specializes in cloud technologies, configuration management, and automation. With the Tech Industry having one of the most competitive job markets today, Mike shares how he sets himself apart and what it took to get there. We also discuss the similarities and differences of tech in different parts of the world as Mike reflects on his experiences with technology in both the U.S. and Austria. Later, we are joined by global technology leader, investor, and advocate for advancement of women in the workplace, Harini Gokul. Harini was raised in India and came to America to further her education, receiving her MBA from Vanderbilt University.
