Seth Hammock graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Baylor University in 2001, specializing in cryptography, and went on to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Bolivian Andes from 2003-2005. Upon returning to the U.S. he went to work in Austin's tech sector as a software developer working for start-ups, one of which was Bazaarvoice, a social media management platform, which went public in 2012.Drawing on these experiences, he earned his Master License as a court interpreter for Texas in 2017 and began full-time interpreting soon after, although still keeping up with advances in software trends.
