Teen Killed in Nighttime Bike Crash | Dayton News

A tragic crash on a dark, unlit road claimed the life of 17-year-old Langdon Udry after his non-roadworthy motorized bike—lacking headlights—was struck head-on by a pickup truck. Though he wore a helmet, it wasn’t enough to save him. The driver, a 28-year-old going under the speed limit, walked away uninjured. Authorities say Langdon’s vehicle was at fault for being unsafe and poorly visible, making this a heartbreaking but preventable tragedy.
