Send us a text and chime in!A 16-year-old California State Parks lifeguard is being recognized after rescuing a 10-year-old boy who was swept into dangerous surf at Seabright State Beach in Santa Cruz, California. The incident happened Saturday, July 25, as large waves and strong currents created hazardous conditions along the California coast. The boy was reportedly standing in shallow water when a wave knocked him off balance and pulled him farther into the ocean. Lifeguard Ryder Williams saw the emergency, called for backup, and entered the water.
