Teen's ISIS-Inspired Phoenix Pride Bomb Plot Foiled
from Tucson News Today | 2 Min Now | The Daily News Now!
Marvin Jalo, a 17-year-old from Peoria, Arizona, pleaded guilty to plotting an ISIS-inspired terror attack on the Phoenix Pride parade. Arrested on October 18, 2024, he faces two felony counts of terroristic threats and is set for sentencing on May 1. Jalo was found to have been chatting online, buying supplies, and watching tutorial videos to create explosives, with the intent to use a bomb drone to target crowds and buildings. Despite his lawyers claims of it being an online science experiment, prosecutors argued that the evidence showed real intent to become a jihadi. The parade went on safely, highlighting the importance of quick action in preventing potential chaos. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
