Tekkonkinkreet (2006)
from Alcohollywood
Jared's kidnopped again this week, so Clint enlists the help of regular guest Grant (of Chip & Ironicus and Six Feats Under fame), as well as his lovely wife Alaina (the co-host of podcasts History Honeys and Sex Archie) to dig deep into the 2006 anime masterpiece Tekkonkinkreet! The fable of two contrasting orphans, Black and White, struggling to survive amid poverty and crime in the chugging, churning city of Treasure Town, Tekkonkinkreet is a wonder to behold, both visually and thematically. Take a listen along with our custom cocktail and drinking rules! (Thanks to our sponsor Cards Against Humanity as part of the Chicago Podcast Coop!)
