The Avalanche fall short in Game 3 with a 4-1 loss to the Stars, and fall behind 2-1 in the series. It was a brutally frustrating and boring game to watch, and the stats may tell you the Avs deserved to win this game, but did they really? Lot of sloppy mistakes, missed opportunities, failed scoring chances, and overall out of sync play cost them big, and a really sloppy third period plus a bad powerplay took away any chance of a win.
