I share the sights, sounds and stories that made that tiny cottage feel like the whole world — from the smell of Mum’s baking and the warmth of the wood stove to the not so pretty outdoor showers and pit toilets!Through this story, I explore how place shapes who we become, and why writing about home — even just a small detail like a front door or a familiar sound — can open the door to deeper memories.I also invite you to write about your own safe place growing up.
