That was the writer, editor known as, William "Mr. Bill" McCay. He wrote for major publishers, crafting stories about Young Indiana Jones, Zorro, and Star Trek, to name a few. He worked for Sesame Street publications, on material for young readers everywhere.  And in between the many books and editing tasks, he gave freely of his great store house of historical and literary information, to anyone who needed it.
