Telling the Oxford Union why Mainstream Media is the Enemy of the People

On the 30th of October 2025, I argued for the motion, “This house believes that mainstream media has become an ‘enemy of the people’”, at the Oxford Union. From covering up the grooming gangs, to taking government funding during COVID lockdowns, and gaslighting the public after terror attacks: The print and broadcast establishment has revealed itself to be the servants of state power and liberal ideology. No wonder they're losing their audiences to authentic, independent alternatives, and lobbying politicians for tighter censorship of social media.
