Telling the time in Spanish-¿Qué Hora Es?

When telling time you must use the verb SER...singular is ES Example "es la 1:00pm (en punto)....To use SON Example "Son Las 4:30 (Las cuatro y media) ..Media equals 1/2...... Madrugada (pre-morning), mañana (morning or tomorrow) example "por la mañana" in the morning.... Tarde = afternoon example "Por la tarde ( un the afternoon). It also means LATE ( estás tarde, llegaste tarde- You are late/you arrived late!) Noche (evening or night)
