Temazcal: Ancient Ceremony of Cleansing & Purification | Laurita Cardenas | SCGP:40

I share an interesting conversation with Laurita Cardenas about the history, purpose and process of a Temazcal which is a cleansing ritual in Mexican heritage. Laurita runs the Temazcal ceremonies helping people to achieve harmony between the mind, heart and body for optimal health.  Ceremonies usually last for two or more hours and are led by a spiritual leader.It is called a ceremony because the Temazcal is not just a sweat lodge; there is much more to it with an elaborate prior set up. The dome shaped cave is made out of volcanic rock with a very small opening that we usually crawl in to enter.
