Tempted / August 24

from FBC Allen - Sermons Hosted by FBC Allen

James 1:12-18 provides powerful insights on overcoming temptation. Temptation doesn't come from God but from our own desires, and when these desires conceive, they give birth to sin, which ultimately leads to death. God provides three keys to victory: remembering His goodness through gratitude, avoiding self-deception through humility, and maintaining focus on Christ. Like Jesus in Gethsemane who prayed 'not My will, but Yours be done,' we can overcome temptation by surrendering to God's will and trusting His provision. God is faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can handle.
