Summary

The 7th Commandment, above all, is a prohibition against sexual sin in marriage. But just like the other commandments, Jesus reveals the depth of the commandment, forcing us to pay attention not just to the letter of the law, but also to the spirit of the law. In this case, while the 7th Commandment mentions only one sin (adultery), it includes a wide range of other similar sins.
