Tennessee Basketball's Stacked Roster for 2026-27

Tennessee basketball, under Coach Rick Barnes, is building a formidable roster with a top transfer portal class, ranking second by USA Today. The Vols have secured thirteen scholarship players, including seven portal additions, four high school recruits, and two returners from last seasons Elite Eight team. The team is focusing on enhancing their offense after losing key scorers. The roster consists of five guards, five wings, and three forwards, with notable departures such as Bishop Boswell, J.P. Estrella, Jaylen Carey, JaKobi Gillespie, Felix Okpara, Nate Ament, and Amari Evans. The seven portal additions bring significant firepower, averaging 85.9 points, 23.8 rebounds, and 12.9 assists per game across 322 career starts. The team is looking to add one more forward and a pass-first point guard to address frontcourt depth and backcourt ball movement. The addition of seven-foot-one high school center Favour Ibe from Maryland could help with frontcourt depth. With the right additions, Tennessee is poised for a strong run in the 2026-2027 season.
