Tennessee's Top Two Receivers on Biletnikoff Watch List | Tennessee Volunteers Football News

Two Tennessee Vols, Mike Matthews and Braylon Staley, are among the nation’s top wide receiver prospects for 2026, earning spots on the prestigious Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list. Staley, the SEC Freshman of the Year, exploded as a sophomore with 71 catches, 858 yards, and 6 TDs—averaging over 12 yards per catch—and leads the SEC in receptions among returning receivers. Matthews, entering his third year, boasts a career 15.1 yards per catch average and was named to Bruce Feldman’s “Freaks List” for elite athleticism. Tennessee joins an elite group of just eight FBS teams with multiple receivers on the list—and only three from the SEC—highlighting the Vols’ deep, elite wideout talent. Semifinalists will be announced November 16, finalists November 24, and the winner revealed December 11 at the Home Depot College Football Awards.
