Tenzing: The Sacred Summit | Entertainment and Celebrity News

A new film, Tenzing, dives deep into the spiritual heart of Mount Everest through the eyes of Tenzing Norgay, portraying his climb not as conquest but as sacred communion with Chomolungma, the Mother Goddess. The director, who previously explored Sherpa culture, reveals how Everest’s legacy is woven into local belief systems. Tom Hiddleston, playing Edmund Hillary, praises the crew’s relentless dedication and shares moving moments with Kanchha Sherpa—whose passing they honored—and reflects on Hillary’s lifelong commitment to uplifting the Sherpa people, a journey that transformed him. Set for theaters October 9th and Apple TV October 16th, this is more than a mountaineering epic—it’s a tribute to humanity, faith, and resilience.
