The Australian feminist publisher Spinifex has expressedinterest in publishing it. Its inspiration was an exchangebetween me and Julia Long during one of the FeministQuestion Time break-out sessions a while ago. Julia and I werediscussing the importance of documenting all the hard workwomen have been doing, all over the world, for a very longtime, to protect our sex-based rights.Personally, I have noticed that many more women arespeaking out today than were doing ten years ago, and evenbefore that. This is great! All newcomers are welcome andencouraged to be loud. I do my best to highlight their voices ina weekly series I publish on Substack titled FFS Friday, whereFFS stands for Female Free Speech. A lot of people see FFSand they think it stands for For F’s Sake, and of course it doesmean that too. I just don’t say that out loud.I reached out to several women to write chapters about thework women have been doing in their countries for severaldecades, and many stepped up to do so. Many of us are heretoday.
