Norwegian bassist Terje Gewelt '87 has appeared on over 80 recordings by Scandanavian, European, and American jazz artists like Billy Cobham, Tommy Smith, Misha Alperin, and Michael Schrieve. Before studying at Berklee, Gewelt studied at the Bass Institute of Technology in Los Angeles and then privately with electric bass virtuoso Jaco Pastorius. Gewelt has released eight albums as a leader on his own label, Resonant Music, which has put out records by Espen Rud, Ahmad Mansour, Svein Finnerud, the Jørn Øien Trio, and others.
