Terps Add Veteran DB for 2026 | Maryland Terrapins Football News

Maryland just pulled off a late-season coup, signing veteran defensive back Jordan Scruggs from West Virginia — a graduate student granted an extra year of eligibility for the 2026 season. With just weeks until their opener, Scruggs brings elite experience: 32 tackles, an interception return for a TD, and three pass deflections last year. After going undrafted in the NFL, he’s back to college football to help fix Maryland’s leaky pass defense — which forced plenty of turnovers but surrendered too many yards and scores. Known for his physicality, ball-hawking instincts, and quarterback-reading skills, Scruggs now faces the challenge of mastering Maryland’s system quickly. His arrival could be the spark this Terps defense needs to bounce back after a four-win campaign. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
