Terps Kick Off 2026 Against Hampton | Maryland Terrapins Football News

Maryland Terrapins football kicks off 2026 with a high-stakes home opener against Hampton, aiming for their 19th straight non-conference win. Last year’s dominant 39-7 debut featuring freshman QB Malik Washington—whose record-setting debut included over 250 yards and three TDs—sets the tone. The defense forced six turnovers, including a pick-six, and Maryland cruised to victory despite FAU’s stats. With expectations sky-high and the crowd roaring, the Terps are poised to repeat history and start the season with another emphatic win.
