Terps Rebuild with Bold Moves

Maryland Terps football is heating up with bold moves: Clint Trickett brings a rushing-heavy offense to pair with QB Malik Washington, while Randy Starks takes over the defensive line. Tight end Preston Howard returns from Auburn, signaling a Washington-centric rebuild. New QB Cardell Williams and WRs Chris Durr Jr. and Naeem Abdul-Rahim Gladding (who brought running back Trequan Jones) add depth. Defense gets a boost with five-star transfer Zion Elee, and yes — a Rice basketball guard is now a linebacker. The 2026 schedule is tough but winnable, with James Franklin arriving early — setting the stage for drama, wins, and classic Terps chaos.
