Terps Turn the Corner This Season | Maryland Terrapins Football News

Maryland football’s got buzz this year thanks to dual-threat sophomore QB Malik Washington, who threw 17 TDs and rushed for over 300 yards last season. With a new spread offense and a solid returning RB in DeJuan Williams, the Terps are primed for improvement — especially if their revamped offensive line gels. The defense, anchored by 100+ tackle linebacker Daniel Wingate and a strong secondary led by Lavain Scruggs, looks like the team’s strongest unit. While the schedule starts easy and bowl hopes are whispered, don’t expect miracles in the Big Ten — but Maryland might just surprise people when it matters most.
