Terrapins OL Needs Big Fix | Maryland Terrapins Football News

The Maryland Terrapins’ offensive line struggled mightily last season, especially in run blocking, with key starters like Isaiah Wright and Rahtrel Perry dragging down the unit. While they excelled at pass protection—ranking among the Big Ten’s best—they’ve lost crucial pieces like Aliou Bah and Alan Herron, leaving new OC Clint Trickett to rebuild. Michael Hershey’s return at center is a bright spot, earning national praise for his pass protection, but Perry and Wright must drastically improve to unlock the offense’s potential. Freshman tackles and emerging players like Jaylen Gilchrist and Amory Hills offer hope, with Gilchrist recovering from injury and Hills gaining experience—both poised to contribute as depth and competition grow.
