Terrapins Rebound or Repeat?

Maryland football’s 2025 season was a wild ride—starting 4-0 with wins over Wisconsin and Florida Atlantic, then crashing with an eight-game losing streak to finish 4-8 overall and 1-7 in the Big Ten. Despite the rough patch, coach Mike Locksley returns for his ninth season, backed by AD Jim Smith and a potential NIL budget boost. Freshman QB Malik Washington dazzled with nearly 3,000 passing yards and 17 TDs, earning Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors twice. Senior linebacker Daniel Wingate, an All-Big Ten honorable mention with over 100 tackles, leads the defense. And for rivalry fans: Penn State closes its regular season on the road at Maryland on Nov. 28—having won the last four matchups.
