Terrifying & True | The Circleville Letters: Threats, a Booby Trap & an Unsolved Mystery

Anonymous letters terrorized Circleville, Ohio, with accusations, threats and a booby trap along a school-bus route. Terrifying & True follows Mary Gillispie’s ordeal, her husband Ron’s death and the attempted-murder case against Paul Freshour. His conviction did not settle the identity of the letter writer, and accounts of continuing mail deepened the mystery. Handwriting evidence, personal secrets and disputed timelines make this a case where certainty is hard to earn. Who knew enough to keep a community frightened—and how many people were involved? We're telling that story tonight. Bonus episodes & support: https://weeklyspooky.com/join More scary stories: https://weeklyspooky.com/ Story submissions: [email protected]
