Terrifying & True | The Melonheads of Ohio — Dr. Crow and Kirtland’s Urban Legend

On dark roads near Kirtland, Ohio, local stories warn of the Melonheads—figures said to have escaped a doctor's cruel experiments. Terrifying & True explores the Dr. Crow legend and its changing versions in Ohio, Michigan, and Connecticut. Alleged laboratories, woodland sightings, and rumors of institutional abuse give each retelling a local setting, but the claims do not establish that the creatures or the doctor existed. Hear how fear of difference and the isolation of a country road helped build a monster story, and why a memorable explanation can outlast the evidence behind it.
