On Wednesday morning, masked gunmen attacked the Paris offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people. Reports have since revealed that the extremists were seeking retaliation because the publication published disrespectful images of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad. Before this incident, Charlie Hebdo was already a terrorist target because of their provocative cartoons and images, which often poked fun at religion and politicians.
