John has been in the hardcore scene since the mid 90s and has done it all. We talk about his path to Straightedge and his musical influences growing up and what got him into hardcore. He has lived a hell of a life from living in Iowa for college and starting a band out there to meeting and booking shows for some of the most known hardcore bands that were just passing through and eventually moving back to Detroit. Most notably to me he was the guitarist and would eventually end up singing for one of the hardest and most insane Detroit Straighedge bands, xTYRANTx. We get into a lot of the history of that and we talk about his past bands and adventures on tour. He is only 1 piece of the xTYRANTx legacy and there is so much more to get into.
