Test Everything By Scripture

There have been movements that call themselves revival marked by constant prophesying yet filled with threats against anyone who would test them by Scripture. Those who questioned were once told they would die. This spirit is not new. There was a javelin in Saul's hand while he prophesied. False spirituality resents scrutiny. It reacts with intimidation rather than humility. Truth never fears the Word of God. The Holy Spirit does not threaten those who examine what they hear. When prophecy demands unquestioned loyalty and attacks discernment, something is wrong. God invites His people to test everything they hear by Scripture. Do not surrender your conscience to fear or pressure. Stay anchored in the written Word of God and refuse any spirit that demands silence instead of discernment. Talk to God about it today.
