Testimony of Yeshua Pt 1 ~ The Greatest Command in the Torah

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

What is the Testimony of Yeshua? The Torah and the Ten Commandments is called the “Testimony”. Our foundation is that Yeshua gave the Torah at Mount Sinai. He is our lawgiver. Torah is a general term which means "teaching or instruction". The detailed instructions of the Torah are broken down into two main categories called statutes (divine decrees) and judgments (making right moral decisions and treating other people properly). Torah = statutes + judgments Statutes (or divine decrees or choqim) include keeping commandments such as the weekly sabbath, the annual Biblical festivals and the dietary laws. They are associated with "loving the God of Israel with all your heart". Judgments (“mishpatim”) is making right moral decisions and treating other people properly). The mishpatim are commandments associated with "loving your neighbor as yourself". The God of Israel instructed His people to keep BOTH the statutes AND the judgments. Doing so will qualify you to be the dwelling Bride of Yeshua and live forever with Him in the New Jerusalem. Are these teachings a blessing to you?
