Texas Baseball 2026 Season Preview: Predictions & Players To Watch

Southeastern 16’s Graham Doty, Alfred Ezman and Chris Lee preview the Texas Longhorns for the 2026 baseball season. Topics include: Coach Jim Schlossnagle took the SEC by storm last year until the Longhorns started to run out of gas in May. But he’s built this roster through recruiting and the portal into one that looks more talented that last year’s. The Longhorns have a terrific returning lineup corps in Ethan Mendoza, Adrian Rodriguez, Casey Borba and Jonah Williams. Texas’s pitching is exceptionally deep and starts with Dylan Volantis, last year’s superstar freshman closer, who this year could be one of the league’s best starters.
