Texas Volleyball Stumbles Against Louisville | Texas Longhorns Basketball News

Texas volleyball suffered a brutal 3-0 loss to No. 6 Louisville in Nashville, their worst set deficit of the season and dropping them to 3-3 overall. The Longhorns struggled offensively early, with key hitters Cari Spears and Henley Anderson hitting negative percentages, while Louisville’s defense stifled their usual attack. Seniors Torrey Stafford (14 kills) and Nya Bunton (5 kills) stepped up, but Texas’ aggressive serving backfired—13 service errors vs. Louisville’s 6, and only 2 aces. Louisville dominated with three players hitting double-digit kills, led by Chloe Meester’s 13 kills at a blistering .565 clip. Texas briefly rallied with setter Ella Swindle in the later sets, but couldn’t overcome the deficit. They return home to face No. 8 SMU on September 9 in Dallas.
